The Big Idea that Ibu Endah and Ibu Kerensa were working with was "Adaptability: Adaptability is demonstrated by the ability to change, alter or cope with new environments or circumstances." In this assessment, it relates to the animals but also taking new approaches to research, writing, and working independently. Students are at different stages.
Kerensa Johnston
Ibu Kerensa has been at Cita Buana for 9 years. She has an amateur's love of science and a passion for English. She sees the ability to communicate oneself and having a strong scientific base as being crucial to fixing problems in the world. She loves the enthusiasm of Year 7. They have an amazing willingness to learn. She loves the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) .
Ibu Endah
Ibu Endah is the biology and chemistry teacher for Years 7 & 8. She is new to Cita Buana but she brings 9 years teaching experience. Reflecting on the amazing world of science and sometimes its irony, she says" Science never solves a problem without creating ten more problems."
