Writing
The task
The students were taught about compare and contrast essays - everything from the types of language structures used, to different compare and contrast essay structures - point to point or block by block.

They also learnt the importance of vivid descriptions and metaphors and similes in scientific writing to help the reader visualize and understand what is often complex topics.
​
In biology they have been learning about the environment and taxonomy of animals. In this assessment, the students then researched two animals and wrote compare and contrast essay.

The students of 7A and 7b have worked so hard to do this. They went through various stages. They developed their researching and planning skills, their teamwork skills, time management and have even dabbled a little in how to make a wix website.
